Spindle Tree

Another domestic day.

The pantry-painting progresses. Last year's leaf-mould has been bagged up - four dumpy bags - to make room in the heaps for this year's leaves. There are tons of them. 

I carried on sewing. I finished piecing a quilt top, apart from the border. I'm going to attempt mitred corners. I've watched a YouTube tutorial that makes it all seem very simple, but - we'll see.

Again, the garden had to be the source of the picture. The sun was shining and the sky was blue - again!  The spindle tree has lost all its brilliant scarlet leaves, all that remains are the seed-cases, looking like tiny little blossoms. Off to the big city tomorrow!
