Stormy weather

The pelting rain and wind of last night continues, but not with the lashing ferocity that shook the windows last evening. I hope it's not a taste of Icelandic weather to come!

I'm checking off my lists and organizing things most of today and tomorrow morning. We  plan to leave for the airport tomorrow evening by 5, the flight leaves at 9:30 PM. We'll arrive in the dark(sunrise is after 8:30 AM) Friday morning in Iceland at 6:30 AM. We can pick up our rental car at 7:30 Then, we'll drive to Reykjavik and wander around some of our favorite spots and shops from our previous trips to the city. We can check into our hotel at 3, it's about an hour and a half drive (without photo stops!!). Rain  is the predicted weather, hopefully without too much wind making driving dicey. We have plenty of layers and waterproof clothes and boots, so I hope we are well prepared.

This day came in with heavy rain and howling wind.

I just realized that My beloved Leica Sl, gearing up for her first trip overseas was a year old yesterday, time flies!
