Feathered thorn

oops! I am so behind blipping this week!  I have been really busy sorting out my house, and haven't had a lot of time to sit down with the lap top.
This beautiful Feathered thorn Colotois  pennaria  is showing off his spectacular antennae from which he gets his name,
The feathered thorn is a common species, but seeing it makes me quite sad as it really nearly is the end of the 2107 mothing season!
