Clip Clop

We spent the day on a farm belonging to parents of a good friend (who also has a small farm).  We only went inside (into a barn) to have lunch, the rest of the time we were outdoors all day long and all feel great for it.  The husband feels revitalised for a day away from everything (notably the dissertation). 

The farm is predominatly a beef farm, where they have perfected breeding pedigree Angus beef and it's basically, all really quite scientific and complicated.  We had fillet steak for dinner last night - I think it may have been the best I've had.

They also have three pedigree shire horses - mostly because they look good in a field.  They were great big gentle giants and the eldest spent ages feeding them plenty of hay and generally marvelling at them.  

Lovely day, saw some great friends, tired, very happy boys.
