Zircon
12.9C and bright. One or two showers through the morning. Afternoon brighter again with some sunny spells.
Moderate W/NW/WNW breeze.
I went for a walk after lunch. I went round to the harbour and had a wander round the old quay to see what boats were in. The tug Anglegarth was at the old quay. Pole Star was by the new quay. As I walked past the harbour and the ferry terminal I could see a big ship at the NATO refuelling jetty. I saw just the one seal today, and it wasn't so near the harbour as the group of seals has been the last couple of days.
I walked on out Kilkerran road to the car park at the Doirlinn. The ship at the NATO jetty was Zircon, an oil or chemical tanker of 183m in length.
I turned and came back the same way then along the street side of the park and came home through town passing the town hall and the bookshop (open).
