K went into the office so I took my walk along the Embarcadero. 
First stop was the Ferry Building for ridiculously indulgent ice-cream before walking to the (in)famous Pier 39 where I spent some time watching the sea lions sun themselves out on the pontoons (see extra).
It's still very hot and I find myself wishing I had packed shorts.
We met for early dinner at the Tadich Grill (founded at the time of the Gold Rush) - it had a lovely old world charm, cocktails, & delicious food. 
If you are ever in San Francisco I would recommend you go.
