A bit of attention?

Not very often you see signs of affection amongst the Jackdaws.
  But this one of those accassions when it did happen!
It was quite a time consuming event.And enjoyed by both  parties!
   One of this pair is the one which had the hooked beak?
It seems that now it dosen't have that problem?
  How or why I don't know? There is a slight jagged edge but nothing like it was!
      Nature took over it seems?    lol
