Day 9

Packed up again, glad to be alive after yesterday's excitement. We passed through sugar plantationsto Kampala, Uganda's capital city, and onwards to The equator for our lunch stop. Our destination was Lake Mburu where the camping facilities were very basic, i.e. long drop toilets and no showers! However, it was a stunning location and it did have a bar which is always a bonus. Whilst supping a bottle of Tusker beer we were amazed to see Warthogs running between the tents and 5 hippo's wallowing not very far from the lakeshore. It was a very special moment.
