Four on the platter and a perfect sweet treat to end a gorgeous lunch for  Mum and her friend B celebrating a 'big' 0 birthday.
Between the three of us we total 234 years of life and history (herstory perhaps?)
That takes us back to 1783! when;
-Plans for colonization and foundation of a convict settlement in, now, New South Wales, Australia  were underfoot in England changing the way of being for the Indigenous Australians for ever.
-In the US The War of Independence ended and the Americans refused to accept anymore English convicts..hence the relocation to Australia.
-Laki Volcano in southern Iceland begins 8-month eruption (no planes to be grounded) and Skaptar Volcano on Iceland erupted with loss of many lives.
-Benjamin Hanks patents self-winding clock
-Theatre Royal opens in Covent Garden, London
-Herschel reports seeing a red glow near lunar crater Aristarchus
-William Pitt the Younger becomes the youngest ever British Prime Minister at age 24
