Funeral
Today was the funeral of a most kind and lovely lady. She was only twelve years old when she had to get involved in the evacuation of the cattle in the Second World War. For that work she got the medal for war veterans from the Finnish president.
Our families have known each other for several generations. She was the last one in the older generation. Now, I belong to the older generation.
A Finnish funeral differs slightly from a Swedish. For example, you photograph at the funeral, it usually does not happen at a Swedish funeral.
Of course I have to show you the coffin as my extra blip. Because then I have done my best to keep up the Finnish tradition.
