By the pricking of my thumbs.....

Routine blood test today as part of my annual medication review. First attempt was in my right-forearm but the phlebotomist couldn't find a vein - after plenty of prodding and probing with the needle - so she went for the back of my hand. Finally found somewhere there to drain a drop out but I feel like a pincushion. I left with blobs of cotton wool taped on various bits of my body. Next time I'll make sure that I've drunk a few pints of water first so that the veins are easier to find.
