From Stokesay Castle
We are staying at Church Stretton for a few days, in the county of Shropshire.
We stopped off at Stokesay Castle on the way, it is near Craven Arms. The Castle dates back to 1291. It is one of the finest fortified manor houses and was built by Lawrence of Ludlow, a wealthy wool merchant .
The blip shows the view from the Castle tower of the Gatehouse, added on 1640.
A beautiful Autumn day,
