King Alfred's Cakes
B and I went on a fungi hunt at Pensthorpe today. We came across the wonderfully named ‘King Alfred’s Cakes’ (see extra). I can see why they were named as such, but they look slightly unpleasant so that’s why they aren’t my main blip photo.
Instead I thought I would blip an Autumn view of the lake which we walked round. Plus (also in extras) a photo of a Black-Headed Gull looking rather splendid in his winter plumage, when their black head disappears and instead they are left with rather sooty looking markings around their eyes.
Not bad when you can see all this (with a slight detour) on the way to the Supermarket.
