Senescence

Some flowers die elegantly. The Rudbeckia petals have shifted from summery yellow to a more coppery hue, appropriate for autumn. Their shape has relaxed, drooped and developed sinuous curves and characterful wrinkles. A last burst of beauty before winter creeps in.
