Poppy Launch Day

We launched Gloucesters Poppy Appeal today in the Eastgate Market so no bikes on display!
The .303 Lee Enfield rifle. tin hat and poppies, was created by my friend Phil, you can see him in the extra group photo with the blue fleece on. He's very imaginative and creates all sorts of things for raising poppy appeal funds.

After the launch I nipped to the Jet Age Museum and said hello to my old friend XM569, Vulcan B2 (other extra). Quite a history to this aircraft. She was also used for crew training during the practice weeks for bombing and refuelling prior to the attack on The Falkland Islands April 1982.
