Catching up
My number one goddaughter lives in Norfolk and I don't see her very often, so it was a happy surprise when she emailed to say she was in the area this weekend and could we meet her for lunch? We arranged to meet half way which happily proved to be The Stag on the River af Eashing. We enjoyed our meal and exchanged news about our families. She has two grown up daughters and it was good to hear of their successes. Jane herself seemed well and happy. She will possibly be making more visits south, so hopefully we can meet again.
After lunch we walked a little way along the river to take a look at the medieval bridge, built by Cistercian monks in the thirteenth century. I took Jane's photo beside the bridge. (See extra)
