Claife Viewing Station!

What a wonderful day in the beautiful Lake District! A lovely walk from Pinethwaite Estate across muddy fields and little footpaths into Bowness where we enjoyed looking around the little shops. We then strolled to Ferry Nab and caught the little ferry across to Ferry House where we had our packed lunch in the drizzle - didn't matter at all though! The colours and views were lovely despite the rain as we walked towards Wray Castle before taking a footpath towards Far Sawrey and Belle Isle, and back round to Claife Viewing Station.

They've done a brilliant job of restoring it and adding in some stained glass to frame the beautiful views.

After another ferry ride back we ambled back up to Pinethwaite Estate where our little air BnB is located...all in time for Strictly Come Dancing! :-D
