Start

After all the nice feedback from the windows blip (Liverpool Cathedral) I thought it would be nice to go back to the start. These guys worked outside in all weathers in the Masons Yard. Taking the raw sandstone blocks and working them into so many intricate shapes and sizes to be hoisted up into the gods. It's quite sad to think in the very early stages a huge number of these guys joined up and went away to fight for the country and oh so many didn't return. The sandstone comes from a quarry about 5 miles away (Woolton quarry ), close to the area where the Beatles grew up (Originally The Quarrymen). Have a fabulous weekend.
