Went To Mow A Meadow
I actually went to Hezzo to visit J's dad in the care home. He was pretty good, all things being equal. It was a glorious day so I took him in the wheelchair round the University campus.
The upside is that J was able to go to town and have lunch with F, whom as I said the other day, is up from Bristol for her birthday on Saturday. We had a fab shoot with Chedders at Drax by the way, images will follow, promise...
After Hezzo, I went to decompress by the river. Sat on the steps at the end of New Walk Terrace and just gazed at the light. I started to go for a coffee but the crowds were really streaming in.
So I didn't. Went for a lovely pint of draught Sam Smith's double stout in the Wellington Inn on Alma Terrace. One of the best (and least known pubs in the city), just an ordinary double fronted terraced house. Been there for generations. Glowing coal fire, friendly locals. Anyone up for one? :)
