Christmas Cactus
This Christmas Cactus was saved from the dustbin a few years ago, it's amazing what happens when a plant realises you care about it, even if that involves removing most of it, barely watering it and leaving it to fend for itself on a draughty windowsill.
Today started early despite no alarm but the stars were Crystal clear and there was a slight frost on the grass.
I was collected by the special person on her way to four legged agility class where the little star overcame his fear of the raised walkway (cold roast chicken treats gratefully accepted) and human spectators felt the chilly wind of a bright but cold day.
Returning home to jointly create a lovely sweet potato and butternut squash soup whilst the four legged one showed abundant love and acceptance of me, thank you 'M'
I then spent a couple of hours collecting fire wood before meeting up in town for a late afternoon coffee, cake and comfy chat on the coffee shop sofa.
A lovely time in the company of a special person.
