Common but beautiful

There are too many Lapwing about to normally stop and look at them. In today's windy conditions this one did not want to fly away and so presented itself for a photo.
The metallic sheen and its go-faster crest, horizontal in the wind, make it one of those birds that if you hadn't seen one before, you would be raving about. As it is, two a penny.....
