Trip over the border

After last night’s entertainment contest in Holmfirth - we were placed 3rd, beaten by the two youth bands but beating all the ‘traditional’ bands, today was the festival of Brass at Rochdale Town Hall.

An absolutely beautiful building, mind blowing detail around every corner, the tiled floor and carpet, the ceilings, all magnificent. This is a tiny snippet of one of the many stained glass windows.

We played the same piece that we won the National Championships with, but sadly and, Ifeel unfairly, we came third.

Disappointing but we played superbly and that is what matters.

The beauty of Rochdale Town Hall made up for the disappointment though.
