Brimham Rocks

A wonderful day out at Brimham Rocks in the Nidderdale area of North Yorkshire.

Brimham Rocks are balancing rock formations averaging 30 feet in height formed by Millstone Grit eroded by water, glaciation and wind.

There are many different shapes with fascinating names like the Sphinx, the Watchdog, the Camel, the Turtle and the Dancing Bear.

In this image I was taken by a tree that was hanging on to the rock face.
