Bald Eagle

Long Day

Well an hour longer than usual. This morning was a little bit hectic. We went down to the bell tower early to stop the clock then raced up to Grappenhall in time to start ringing there at 9.30. A few of their band members are away so we went along to lend a hand. There were just enough of us to ring all 8 bells. The tower captain, who was not there today, will be pleased as he likes all 8 bells rung on a Sunday morning.

As soon as ringing was over we jumped into the car and headed back to our own tower to restart the clock. We made it with four minutes to spare. Then with the help of two ringers from Grappenhall we managed to ring 8 of our 10 bells this morning.

After all that rushing about we headed up to the walled garden for a light lunch. Some brave souls sat outside in the sun, while others picnicked. We opted to eat inside.

Yesterday after completing my tour at Speke Hall NM and I headed for the Lady Lever art gallery at Port Sunlight to see the latest exhibition, Model Image.
