A lovely sunny day today so of course had to make the most of it. Didn't take advantage of the clocks going back so no extra hour in bed as wanted to get out early. Went to Loweswater to see the autumn colours. Lots of colour about but not quite there yet. We walked around Loweswater and diverted a bit along the Mosser road and walked along a track at the foot of Darling Fell which gives fantastic view of Crummock Water, but the timing was all wrong as the sun was in the way :) Mustn't complain :) Anyhow got chatting to a very nice man who was using a Fuji Pro2 and he let me handle it. Its a lovely camera! One of the girls in extras.
Today's blip of Carling Knott was taken on the road to Maggie's Bridge car park. Just after I took this, things got very interesting as there were cars and vans trying to get to the car park and meeting other vehicles the opposite way who'd been unable to park. Its a very small car park and very popular but you have to be there before 10am to get a space on a weekend!
Eventually back to the car and more drama. A lady had fallen down a slope by the lake a bit further along and broken a leg! The ambulance was in attendance but I assume they weren't able to bring her up the very rocky slope, as two mountain rescue vehicles rushed by with sirens blaring. Hope she was ok.
Tonight's sunset in Extras.
