Float boat

Oh my what a day. Still beautiful out there for a row (in the boat) with my friend J.
Trip to Apple (think Aperture and the photos are solved but the computer is spending the night getting a new track pad..)
Picked Fiona up from school early to have some time alone with her. She was very excited!
Then later picked Tatum up - she is nine years old today !!!! We had pancakes (their favorite) for dinner and candles on a tart, but the family party is tomorrow night here - so the birthday photo will happen then!
Because.....I just could NOT not blip this boat full of floats!!! We took the girls home early (Tatum wanted to go play her new games!) and went to an invitational private event at the new Chihuly garden and glasshouse built right next to the space needle at the Seattle center. Had not even laid eyes on it before. WOW! It was phenomenal on a beautiful clear night! I can't manage flicker with this iPad tonight, so will give the website in case you are interested in seeing more what it's about with some good daytime photos.

There are some exhibition rooms as well as the garden and the huge glass house so I really had to blip the boat- from his 1995 works installed in Venice ( probably my favorite place in the world). Dale Chihuly is an internationally known glass artist from Tacoma WA -his glass blowing studio is across from our rowing club in what used to be a rowing shell factory. (I've blipped it before).
