The Mere Cafe (2012)

The Mere, at Scarborough.

To many thousands of people ((including me) those words instantly produce a torrent of memories and mental images.

A busy yet at the same time relaxed and relaxing leisure lake on the edge of town - is what it used to be.

There used to be a splendid and truly iconic lakeside Cafe. Especially useful when the odd British shower of rain or gust of cold wind came along.

This one has just been built and opened. All outdoor seating though, unless you sit in your car.
