Still

Firstly I didn't take this photograph, but this had to be my blip today. I've just heard that Rob Mulholland's beautiful art installation Still, which was located at St Fillan's in Scotland has been removed. It has been alleged that the new owner of the hotel which overlooks the loch simply 'doesn't want it'. This has angered me so much, if true what an incredibly myopic viewpoint, and a sad day for public artworks. This piece is as iconic as the work of Anthony Gormley (Angel Of The North, Another Place) etc and Andy Scott (The Kelpies) . This sculpture is one of the main reasons people visit. This will undoubtedly affect visitors coming to this area.
