Bilston Glen
Took the boys for a lovely walk through the autumn forest of Roslin Glen. The walk although only 10km long took most of the day - too many photo stops. Roslin Glen is one of my most favourite places around here. We had to take a minor detour as the viaduct was closed. So we took the opportunity to investigate Bilston Glen and the area of the former colliery. Amazing it is all gone when there was massive strikes 30 years ago. The path through Roslin Glen is getting wilder. I did find some new bits which I hadn't spotted before. We did go past Roslin to investigate the old gun powder mill or what's left of it. Then back into Roslin for pints (juices) and some chips.
