That's his name!  Not ours, obviously, but MG's.  MG has been a good friend of hubby's for the past 32 years or so.  Hubby hasn't only been a father figure for him but a business adviser, too.  It was MG's moving company that helped us move last end of May, and we'd agreed to delay payment of his services until we were really able to, so today was the day when we finally had enough to settle it.  Yes, that's how expensive the lawyer/sollicitor was.  We could have skipped the holidays but I wasn't about to allow him to determine how we were going to live, and we are fortunate for people like MG who have given us the necessary time allowance.  Hubby has also received the first of a number of ex-employer pensions, and it has been an enormous help.

First, though, to IKEA to buy a couple of adjustable desk supports since I've asked for a new desk for years now.  If we could manage the summer trips plus Athens, surely I can have a new desk?  Hubby was entirely in agreement.  Then to MG to settle the bill but we hung around longer than usual.  MG and I had a falling out on FB a couple of years ago on immigration and refugee issues, but tonight he invited me again to renew our connection and I accepted.  We're both older and know each other's mind a lot better.  Hubby is quite pleased, of course.
