Day 3 the Road Race

An amazing day with the 18.5 km circuit set up through Currumbin and surrounds . All the roads were closed , volunteers manned intersections , police were letting people through at their discretion and 600 riders took to the roads in their divisions . It was being undertaken as a dry run for the same events in the Commonwealth games here in April 2018 .
My friend Brookey is in Women's 2 division , which is a very tough field and she was thrilled with a second place today . I managed another sprint finish to claim gold and the age group champions jersey ! 3 laps of the circuit with hills , wind and heat !
