Smells and Noise

Arrived in Mumbai this morning.
Flight out was reasonably uneventful, there was some expected turbulence just as I was nodding off to sleep, so I didn't get much in the way of sleep, but we did arrive almost 1 hour early due to good tail winds.
Checked into the hotel and crashed out for a couple of hours before having a quick wander around the hotel as dusk was setting in.
Security is very tight at the hotel, with bags being x-rayed every time you come in, cars and taxis are checked as well (including their own shuttle bus).
The first things that hit you on arriving in India is the contrast between rich and poor, the smells and the noise.
The extra shows what was (I think) the hotel next door, and you thought Bates' Motel was bad.
