Bottle Kilns

In the heyday of the pottery industry in Stoke on Trent there were up to 4000 bottle kilns (or ovens) with as many as 2000 still standing in the 1950's.
There are 47 still standing. Some are in good condition, having been restored, some are in very poor condition.
