Poor Fox

This young fox came to our yard mid-afternoon and started eating birdseed. It's in rough shape with a bad case of mange - not rabies. Mange is an infestation of the skin of mites which cause massive irritation and swelling as seen here. It's unfortunate, but temporary. We called the Ontario  SPCA and a guy named David called back. They are trying to live trap this fox and another known in the area so they can administer medication but these creatures are indeed sly and wily and not easily captured. Fingers crossed for a happy outcome.
