Purple clouds

After the exertion of yesterday, today was mostly spent at the computer trying to finish off two pieces of work with imminent deadlines. I nipped down to the Rowing Lake at dusk. and was treated to the rather unusual sight of these smoky purple clouds. There was a brighter orange component to the sunset, but at this time of year it's hidden behind the trees and I just got a glimpse of it as I was driving home.

After our evening meal we went over to Chris and Lizzy's for a small and impromptu house-warming - at times the conversation became rather lively!
