Witches Fly Tonight!

Dear Diary,

Well, at least I can say the kiddies will have good trick-or-treating weather tonight.  The storm has not dampened "spirits" around here though.  We are helping each other get through this.  No power and it looks like it may be a few days before it can be restored.  Over 400,000 residents in Maine are without electricity.

With my generator, I can complain too much except the hot water heater is not hooked to it so I have to heat water for bathing on the stove.  I have enough propane to last a couple more days and I'm trying to get a delivery but everyone is in the same boat so it will be a challenge.  But at least I have heat and water.  My friends who watch Emerson do not have a generator and, hence, no water so they came by yesterday to get jugs of it from me.  If this lasts much longer and their heat doesn't come on, they will be coming here to stay, it is turning much colder.

So, enjoy your Halloween and send prayers this way, we need a treat, we've already had our trick!  It could have been much worse here but along the coast there was a great deal of damage.
