Remembering Savita

On the fifth anniversary of Savita Halappanavar's death. Silent, candlelit vigils were held all across the country.

I'm there but you can't see me because I'm at the back holding a poster. You can just about see Missy.

Savita died in awful circumstances, in an Irish maternity hospital. The news went worldwide. Irish law prohibited the termination of her already unviable pregnancy. This was a main contributor to her death.

This must never happen again. Repeal8 is a coalition of pro-choice groups, campaigning to change the law. Savita's husband supports this, he gave the image of her for the poster. Thinking of Savita & all her family. x
