Fright Night

Son in law (Bolton supporter) and I (Sunderland) went to the game between our two teams tonight. Both occupy the bottom two positions in the league.
“May the least bad team win”, was all I could summon as the teams kicked off.
And so abject a performance by both teams the neither could even manage that. 3-3 and some of the worst defending I’ve seen since last time I watched my team play.
The chants regarding the Sunderland manager of “you’re getting sacked in the morning” were wildly optimistic, he parted from his job before we got back to our car.
The joys of supporting a football team. It’s days like these that make the better days so much sweeter.
