Number Nine

Happily, my good friend, Bob, is a big fan of Kirkby Lonsdale, which is where I live. So, once every couple of months, he'll come up and stay, either with some friends or with his family. 

As it's half-term, this was one of the family visits, so I joined him and his wife, Michaela, and two of their children at the Royal for dinner. During a walk around the town earlier in the day, Bob had noticed that a new bar had opened, just opposite the Sun Inn, so after we'd eaten we went off to give it a try.

Décor-wise, I have to say I found it a little bland, but the wine was good, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the company was excellent :-)
