"I can't read yet"

Because the wee man kept getting up so early, we decided to set a rule that if he wakes up before 6:30am he must stay in his room and read books to himself.

This morning I woke up in the little lady's bed, as she struggled to sleep in the night. So, when she rose at 6:15am, I said they could both get up. The wee man, however, insisted on staying in his room until 6:30am, choosing instead to read to his sister.

At 6:30am we went downstairs and he continued with his books. It won't be long before she can read the words herself.
