Houdini

Teddy decided to give us the slip in the woods behind the beach this morning. We never let him off the lead there, but he left the beach and slipped into the woods before we could catch him. The woods are huge with lots of steep slopes and paths leading back to the beach or onto farm land. He thought it was a great game of chase until we couldn’t keep up and lost sight of him altogether. A very frantic search ensued. We separated to try and find him. I am very relieved to report that by some stroke of luck I did find him after about 20 minutes. He was exhausted and bewildered. There were tears, followed by tea and cake in the dog friendly cafe when I took this snap. Don’t even ask about our blood pressure. It’s taken us all day to recover...
