What a lovely day...

Lacock Abbey, Wiltshire

What a lovely day I've had, a lovely girlie day with my friend K, pottering around the beautiful medieval village of Lacock.

Before heading off on a walk that took us out into the countryside around Lacock, we stopped off at a tea shop in the village for hot chocolate in the sun. Our route took us across the ford, through fields, and along the River Avon, with views across to the 13th century Lacock Abbey.

Back in the village, it was time for lunch in a 14th century pub in front of a roaring log fire, bliss. After popping in and out of the shops (picking up seven Christmas presents!), we decided the Abbey and its grounds would have to wait until another day, and headed home into the setting sun...
