Wild Wednesday: Highly decorated roofs
G's half term is speeding along. Can't believe it is Wednesday already, and the 1st of November even! This means that we had to make ourselves scarce as the cleaner came; so we headed to Wafi as there are several things we could do there, the most important of which was to get a card for Gwen who will celebrate her 99th birthday in a couple of weeks. (We met Gwen in the summer in the URC church).
We also had a good look around Wafi Gourmet and are totally impressed with the quality and variety of their food products. (We went in to get baklava to send back to Karachi). The time ended with us having a quick bite at The Square before returning home.
We had an invitation to a dhow dinner cruise in the evening which was most pleasant. Always good views and food, but tonight it was good company too. :) The Creek was very busy, and as the food exhibition is causing so much chaos on the roads - as in traffic jams - there was a big delay in setting off as a huge group was stuck in traffic. Fortunately, we just managed to get there in time with ten minutes to spare. I was very relieved, then miffed for being so stressed out as the boat was delayed anyway!
My blip is of one of the pyramid roofs in Wafi Mall... it has an Egyptian theme that runs right through it, and this art catches everyone's eye. I hope it qualifies for Cailleach's Wild Wednesday.
