Welsh must be the only language in which 'ashtray' sounds like the raucous splutter of diseased lungs. Blwch llwch, meaning dust box, is pronounced 'blooch thlooch' - the 'ch' guttural as in the Scottish 'loch'.
(Yes, that is a child on a lead, rolling on the pavement. She seemed quite happy and the mother was unconcerned, if indeed she noticed.)
