All Saints

The leaves are turning some amazing colours in the city, although I am told that the full autumn display is late this year. And these fallen ones too have a certain beauty.

Today was the feast of All Saints, and at college this afternoon we remembered the people we have known and loved who have died. There was a lovely service where we placed a box with the names of everyone on the altar, where it will stay for the rest of the month. 

I said a special prayer, not only for family, but for friends and mentors who have played a big part in my life. There is a real sense of gratitude for all their love and support.
