Peace

Jesus never promised that we wouldn’t have problems, but He did mean for his children to have peace. Before going to the cross, Jesus told his disciples,“ Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not be afraid.” John 14:27
I shared this with my choir tonight as part of our devotions. When I arrived back home, it seemed that my dog, Fiona, needed a little peace also. While my back was turned, she grabbed my Bible out of my briefcase and ate chapter 14 of the Gospel of John! She gives a new meaning to studying the word of God.
