Rose

Its a bit sad in some ways but in the (almost) 2 years we spent in Christchurch it took until our very last day for us to visit the botanic gardens. We shared a nice bottle of Marlborough Sav Blanc and some nice cheese with some friends, and then wandered around the gardens.

We spotted a few cute little ducklings in the ponds, and some of the greenhouses and gardens were quite spectacular. The rose garden was packed with every variety of rose you could imagine, it was really quite astounding.

Not a bad way to spend our last day.
