Heron 1, Frog 0

Sometimes I hate to see nature at work.  I felt sorry for the poor frog who was probably happily enjoying frog things, but then herons have to eat too.  At least the frog appeared to have died quickly.  The heron continued to dunk him in the water and mud as though it was some kind of secret sauce.  Eventually, the heron just wandered off sparing me the spectacle of his efforts to swallow the frog.  Watching a heron swallow a fish is not very much fun.  I'm sure the frog would have been even less enjoyable.  I'm assuming he came back later for his treasure.  At least I hope he did.  If the frog had to die at least he should he should have died for the noble cause of providing a fellow wild thing with dinner.
