Of The Feelings I have for Her In My Heart

If we could we would hold those things most precious to us and tie them around our finger we would.

If we could hold them to us and keep them safe for ever and ever, never let them out of our sight we would.

If we could build a bubble around them, and protect them from the world we would.

But we can't, and as mothers and fathers we have to be as brave as we can be and set them free into the world.

We have to believe that they will recognise right from wrong.

We have to believe that good people will find their way to them.

We have to believe that they will become good people, and help other people around them.

And most of all, we have to believe that when bad things happen that it's a rare occurrence and the culprits will be caught and will pay for their badness.
