Golf in the air!

First floor, Eiffel Tower, 329 steps up.

Flora loved it.

We then did the next 339 steps to level 2 & the final assent on the lift. It’s rather high & unlike many of the more super cool taller towers across the globe, this one feels very ‘real’ to the elements.

Paris is a wonderful eclectic and ridiculously optimistic city. I watched a waiter shaking hands with some refugees begging for help last night. It was moving and I wondered, as I often do, what we lose by stepping further away from our fellow Europeans. Did our eclectic natures make for a more rounded humanity or was the idea of Britain in the EEC always ultimately flawed?
